The Pretend Team Skull Pikachu Special Box was released on December 17, 2016, during the early Sun & Moon era and features Pikachu dressed in the iconic Team Skull Grunt uniform from Pokémon Sun & Moon. The Japan-exclusive Special Box included two exclusive SM-P promotional cards, #013/SM-P Pretend Team Skull Pikachu and #014/SM-P Pretend Grunt Pikachu, along with Team Skull-themed accessories. The Full Art #013/SM-P promo is particularly notable and has become one of the most recognizable Pikachu promos from the Sun & Moon era. With its limited Japanese distribution, exclusive Team Skull artwork, unique promotional cards, and original sealed presentation, the Pretend Team Skull Pikachu Special Box is a highly desirable collectible for Japanese Pokémon TCG and Pikachu collectors.
